INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup of sabut kali bal
  • ¼ cup rajma
  • 3 tbsp butter/ghee
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (pureed)
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1-2 green chilies
  • ½ turmeric
  • 1 tsp red chili
  • 1 tsp dhaniya
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander for garnish
  • Soak dal and rajma for overnight
  • Pressure cook with salt and water
  • Heat butter
  • Add dhaniya seeds-let them crack
  • Add chopped onion -cook till golden brown
  • Add ginger, garlic paste-cook till raw smell goes
  • Add tomato puree+ green chilies-cook till oil separates
  • Add turmeric, red chili and salt
  • Add cooked dal+ rajma with water
  • Cooked on low flame for 20-30 minutes
  • Add butter, cream and garam masala
  • Cooked for 5 more minutes
